Staring at my distraught reflection
Tired of feeling this way
I thought you said we were forever
Lies! What made her so special?
Lost between dream and reality
Led me to believe I was the only one
Overly naive is what I was
Velvet kisses, soft to the touch
Every truth veiled behind empty promises
You did wrong so why are you left unscathed?
Only I feel the rope tight around my neck
Understand that this was my decision alone.
