BON VOYAGE

  • Life has nothing to do with where you're going. It has nothing, at all, to do with the destination.
  • It's true that, at the end of the road, lies a treasure, sort of like a reward for actually living this life instead of passing it by like so many of us do, but it ain't about that. Part of that treasure, is who you become. Life is not about the destination, but the journey, now that's what really matters.
  • Because, with no doubt, once you begin a journey, you may think you know where you're going and that you're the master of your choices and you are your own God. But life, is not that simple, thank God - or whoever you chose to thank. If, in fact, we were the masters of our choices, life would turn out to be so boring. But the world is not a straight line, it is a circle and that's way more than just a scientific discovery. It's the whole truth about our very existence. You never know where you're going, even if you think you do. You never know what is about to change, or ever remain the same - because that is a change too, and maybe one of the most important of all changes. You, simply, cannot plan a journey or who you're gonna end up being with. Damn, you cannot even be sure if you're getting your next heartbeat. What you know for sure, is that you are. Get it? YOU ARE. Say it, just close your eyes and say "I Am". Do you feel that? You have to let go and simply, be. We are, after all, beings. Human or spiritual, we're nothing but beings, thrown in a vortex of an endless flow of energy. We are energy and we must flow, too. We are not straight, and I'm really sorry if that triggers any of your sexual-orientation-based beliefs, but what I'm saying is true. No one is straight. Remember, the earth is not a straight line. It is full of curvy high-ways and wrong turns and right turns, hills and lakes and mountains. We were not brought here to live a simple, ordinary, boring life. We came here for anything, but that.
  • Do not wish for a simple life, but try your hardest to embrace a more spontaneous one. In fact, you'll be making yourself a favor, because life is spontaneous. And whether you chose to embrace it or not, it will continue to shock you and surprise you and upset you, with every step you take. But, it ain't all so bad as it sounds. There's nothing more exciting than a surprise, nothing more exhilarating than having no idea where it is that you're going. Of course, you may think that what I'm saying sucks, because you have dreams and goals and you're working towards them. But, look, that's the destination. And, in order to fulfil what you have chosen as your destiny, at times you will have to accept life's changes and crossroads and misfortunes and blessings. See? It is not about the destination. It is so much bigger than just that.
  • Life is not about the destination, but the journey. Now, that is what really matters.
